These terms apply to the PauseSip iPhone app and this website, made by Cuong Do ("we"). By using PauseSip you agree to them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Who PauseSip is for
PauseSip is for adults of legal drinking age (21 or older in the United States) who want to plan evenings and drink less. It is not designed for people who are in alcohol withdrawal or detox, or who need help to stop drinking completely. If you drink heavily every day, don't stop suddenly. Talk to a doctor first.
Not medical advice
PauseSip is a planning and logging tool. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, does not estimate blood alcohol, and cannot tell you whether you are fit to drive. Standard drink counts follow the US definition (14 g of alcohol) and are estimates based on what you enter. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.

Your data
Your data stays on your device as described in the Privacy Policy: https://pausesip.com/privacy/. You are responsible for your device and its backups. If you delete the app or use Delete all data, your PauseSip data is removed and we cannot restore it.
PauseSip Pro
The core of PauseSip is free. PauseSip Pro adds Noticed insights and plan suggestions from your own patterns. It is offered as:
- Monthly and Yearly auto-renewable subscriptions. The price and period are shown before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your iPhone Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or in PauseSip > Settings > Billing help > Manage subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
- Lifetime, a one-time purchase that does not renew.
There is no free trial. Refunds are handled by Apple; you can request one in PauseSip > Settings > Billing help > Request a refund, or at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. You can restore purchases on another device with the same Apple Account in Settings > Billing help > Restore purchases.
Features that are free today will not be moved behind Pro for people who already use them.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the app or this website, for example by trying to break, reverse engineer or resell them, except where the law allows it.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
PauseSip is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for important changes, mention it in the app's release notes. If you keep using PauseSip after a change, the new terms apply.
